Night & Day Courses at Scoil Mhuire Clane, Adult Education Department
Appointed by the Board the Principal is responsible for the oversight of further education and training and its quality assurance policies and procedures.
Scoil Mhuire is governed by a Board of Management made up of democratically elected members.
The Board has primary responsibility for the oversight of Adult Education ensuring its sustainability as a business.
The Board has representatives from the Trustees, Teachers and Parents of Scoil Mhuire.

Joint trusteeship is vested in;
Department of Education and Science, Kildare Wicklow ETB. And the Presentation Sisters Northern Province.

It meets monthly and receives reports on the operation of the Adult Education Centre.
Terms of Reference
- In addition to general roles and functions of the BoM of the school available at the following link (assess/manage risk, budget, staffing):
- The Board has overall responsibility for school policies and procedures including FET/adult education quality assurance policies and procedures - Approves quality assurance policies and procedures
- Approves organizational review documentation around self-evaluation.
- Approves changes to quality assurance policies and procedure/procedure direction.
- Approves the QA system.
- The Board has responsibility for programme approval for development and review.
- The Board receives periodic reports form the Quality Committee including programme proposals (ratification function), assessment results overview etc.
- Information data management function.
- Recruitment of Staff
